This secret garden is tucked behind a beautiful Victorian on San Francisco's historic Alamo Square. Its rich layers of deep green provide a calming respite from the bustling street. When faced with the challenge of limited space, I chose to design upward, creating a custom vertical garden that contributes to the garden's size and impression. The patinaed metal towers, now covered in specialty orchids, provide a sense of seasoned decadence. A refinished antique mirror tastefully tricks the viewer into an entirely new dimension of green.
